Why I want to be your NCTM President

I am honored to be a candidate for NCTM President in the election that opens on February 17.  

I am running to collaboratively orchestrate a revitalization of NCTM.  

  • We need to attract more members.  

  • We need to provide more relevant and helpful information to all teachers of mathematics.  

  • We need to more effectively advocate for a more rational and relevant curriculum.

  • We need to restructure the oppressive reign of state and national assessments.

  • We must address stark and unacceptable achievement gaps, and

  • We need to ensure adequate support and guidance for teachers and policymakers.

I believe that I have the experience and the vision to lead NCTM in those directions and I seek your vote.
